Hi Neighbors:
A Theft/Crime of Opportunity was on the 1300 block of Sheridan Street on Tuesday, March 7, around 10 pm. A woman or two women parked their car on Sheridan and, while exiting their vehicle, placed a purse/wallet on the ground. Then a male with a thin build, dressed in dark pants and a jacket with a hood grabbed and stole the victim's purse/wallet and ran away. The victims were not physically hurt, and the police arrived shortly thereafter. The suspect was not apprehended.
At this time, I do not have any further information to share about this crime. I will update you when I learn more. One neighbor captured part of this crime on video. If others also have video footage, please contact me privately.
