Hi Brightwood:
It is with great excitement that I share with you that the lawsuit that the DC Office of Attorney General(OAG) filed against 16th Street Heights, LLC in 2011 has finally and successfully concluded for the affected plaintiff tenants.
I thank Attorney Argatonia Weatherington at the DC Office of Attorney General and her staff for taking my many calls, responding to my numerous emails, and for attending Brightwood tenant legal clinics. I also thank Rachel Weiss and her team at the Neighborhood Legal Services Program for working with me on organizing tenant meetings and for serving DC residents with much-needed legal advice. Lastly, I thank Charles Lowery, long-term Brightwood resident and former president of the DC Bar Association for answering my calls for help and putting me in contact with an invaluable source at OAG.
Lastly, to my constituents and neighbors who have been affected by this lawsuit and put through years of enormous stress and frustration, it has been a pleasure working with and serving you!
