Hi Brightwood:
Residents who live on the 1300 blocks of Sheridan & Rittenhouse and are affected by the ongoing alley construction, please put your trash out as usual for your scheduled Wednesday trash pickup.
Today, I spent half the day calling DC Government agencies trying to confirm how trash would be picked up tomorrow. I was told by the Mayor's Office that the Department of Public Works (DPW) will pick up trash tomorrow as scheduled from the alley between the 1300 blocks of Sheridan & Rittenhouse.
Please put your trash in your cans as usual. If the trash truck cannot drive down the alley due to construction, DPW employees will manually remove each trash can and walk them to the garbage truck, and then return the emptied cans to your property.
I will work from home tomorrow and keep an eye on things. I do not want trash-filled cans lingering in the alley because they will attract rats. If your can is not emptied
